ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS


  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of ~1,800 commercial contracts across MA Sepang and MASB airports including negotiation, execution, enforcement, renewal, variation, and termination—while ensuring alignment with commercial policies and achievement of the targeted revenue budget.
  • Ensure full compliance with contract terms and operational execution at all Malaysia Airports Sdn Bhd (MASB) airports.
  • Lead operational enforcement exercises and handle contract disputes in coordination with Legal and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead and coordinate all audit-related activities for the Commercial Services Division (CSD), including preparation for internal/external audits (e.g., IMS, IAD), timely resolution of findings, and implementation of corrective actions to ensure full compliance and governance across contract and operational processes.
  • Monitor SAP data accuracy and manage the centralised contract database and CMU Forms validation.
  • Liaise with airport operations (e.g., Terminal, AVSEC, CARE, Engineering) to ensure seamless commercial operations.
  • Coordinate contract-related audits (internal/external) and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Prepare and review BOD, MPC/BPC papers and internal presentations related to contract and revenue initiatives.
  • Manage account-based strategies, particularly for high-value tenants, to optimise space and revenue.
  • Lead customer engagement initiatives, including managing escalations and strategic partnerships with key retailers.
  • Spearhead initiatives for operational improvement, digitalisation, and lean implementation (e.g., Tender Automation, CLM).
  • Resposible on periodic contract reporting, compliance monitoring, and performance dashboards.
  • Support or lead pre-tender to post-tender execution, including preparation of documents, evaluations and approvals.
  • Work with the Tender Management Unit to maintain tender policy, SOPs, and improvement plans.
  • Ensure alignment between contract output and tender intent for sustainable commercial outcomes.
  • To perform any other ad-hoc tasks or duties as directed by Superior(s) or Management from time to time.

  • Ensuring >95% contract compliance rate across commercial spaces.
  • Managing commercial audit gaps, particularly in enforcement and reporting.
  • Maximising space utilisation and rental yield.
  • Strengthening integration between contract, tender and strategic planning functions.
  • Enhancing customer experience while protecting MAHB’s commercial interests.
  • Mitigating risks in all processes within Commercial Services scope of work and responsibilities


Skills

 

  • Proven experience in managing end-to-end contract lifecycle , including negotiation, drafting, execution, enforcement and variation.
  • Strong with a track record of driving revenue through strategic space utilisation and tenant management.
  • Sound understanding of aspects related to tenancy agreements and tender documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to operational improvements, digitalisation projects, and cross-functional collaboration.- Excellent and negotiation skills with internal (e.g., Legal, Finance, Operations) and external parties (e.g., tenants, vendors, government agencies).
  • Strong with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Highly proficient in preparing Board/Management papers and executive-level presentations.
  • Strong command of Bahasa Malaysia and English (both spoken and written).
  • Experience in SAP, CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) or Tender Automation systems is an added advantage.


Education

Internal

  • Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate in Business Administration, Law, Contract Management, or related discipline.
